Tooth Cells Lead to “Huge” Improvements in 20 Patients Treating Autism to Diabetes

28/04/2017

Whether it’s to discuss a new scientific discovery, a patient recovering from a debilitating illness, or an elite athlete undergoing treatment, it seems like every day stem cells are in the news.

And as one of the most exciting fields of modern medicine, they should be. But to the people suffering and in need of treatment today, all this talk must no doubt be frustrating.

Nine out of ten of the promising stories we see in the media are pulled from lab reports, clinical trials, or extraordinary situations. The reality for most patients is stem cell therapy is more of a distant ideal than an accessible alternative.

But in the last few years, we’ve reached a turning point. Many trials are entering the later stages, more and more treatments are materialising in clinical settings, and as one of the more modern discoveries in the field, cells from teeth are finally hitting the scene.

The results are in: Do tooth cells deliver on their bold promises?

There aren’t a whole lot of accounts of patients using tooth cells to treat their ailments, but the few that do exist are no less than impressive. They, along with the undeniable studies and results of mesenchymal stem cells, have been enough for thousands of people to bank cells from their teeth. After 10 years of banking, we now have more than a few real-world accounts to back up their investments.

Twenty of our members, ranging from ages 2 to 43, are undergoing or have undergone treatments using tooth cells they previously banked with BioEden. The conditions being treated include type I and II diabetes, cerebral palsy, autism, knee injuries, and cleft lip.

Although it’s still early days, the results are incredibly positive, with many patients experiencing huge improvements and not one reporting side effects or adverse reactions.

Unsurprisingly, members with diabetes report some of the most significant results. In one remarkable case of a 28-year-old who received a full course of treatment, large blisters on the palms of their hands completely disappeared. They also reported decreased swelling, an improvement in energy levels, and a reduction in their insulin application.

Another member who’s halfway through their treatment has had similar results along with improvements in their liver function and is due to begin their second course later this year.

It’s clear diabetes responds well to tooth cells, but by far the most amazing outcomes are being seen in children with autism. Recent stories on stem cell therapies have spread hope for an effective autism treatment, and in agreement with these expectations, reports from several of our members show significant progress in developmental markers across the board.

Currently in different stages of treatment, the results among the children vary. But the majority report huge improvements, particularly in communication and memory. In one case the patient did not speak before the treatment, but now has a vocabulary of 15 words. As with several others, they also described more energy, as well as better memory, mobility, and bodily control, and a new sensitivity to pain.

Tooth cells are the babies of industry, and therefore the process of extracting and banking them is entirely new ground. The reports from these 20 members are not only testament to the therapeutic capacity of tooth cells, but to their versatility and durability to be extracted, stored, and returned, all while remaining viable for use.

So far tooth cells are delivering on their promises. Which is great news for our members and their families and also the thousands more people who could benefit from such therapies. And with such positive results coming from patients in the early stages of treatment, it’s only a matter of time before we see what tooth cells are truly capable of.
