‘An urgent need for adequate diabetes care’

Diabetes in the UK at an all-time high at over 4 million.

Diabetes UK have released figures that states that over 4 million people in the UK have diabetes. This figure represents an increase of over 65% in the last ten years and has been extracted from GP data. Additionally, it is thought that over half a million people have undiagnosed Type 2 Diabetes.

Cover Magazine, which is a quality publication for Health Insurance Intermediaries, wrote extensively about this growing problem commenting on the escalating costs borne by the NHS.
