In the spotlight – BioEden Mexico

BioEden Mexico launched in 2009, and was the first Tooth Cell Bank in Latin America at that time.

Today BioEden Mexico are the established market leaders with a membership of many thousands and over 1000 affiliated medical professionals.

BioEden’s principal offices can be found in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey and provide the BioEden service to the entire country.

BioEden are featured regularly in the media including television and are frequently invited to lecture on their work.

BioEden Mexico put together the scientific team that performed the first ever dental stem cell transplant in Latin America for facial bone regeneration. They also organised the first treatment for a diabetic patient (type 1) using the patients own cells which they had stored with BioEden.

BioEden organised the first ever dental stem cell conference in Latin America which was inaugurated by the Mexican Health Ministry and the British Ambassador in Mexico. This event which launched in 2011 invited expert speakers from the US, UK and Italy, amongst others.

Today BioEden Mexico goes from strength to strength and has established research partnerships with the National Rehabilitation Institute and with the Research Center for Advanced Studies (CINVESTAV).

Last year BioEden was awarded the Biotech Innovation Scholorship by the Mexican National Council for Science and Technology (CONACYT), previously having been awarded ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ in 2012 by Ernst & Young.
